My honda ATV cant start! need suggestions on why.?

My ATV is a fourtrax rancher 420/4x4

i was driving my Fourwheel and all of a sudden it stopped with a back fire. I've checked my oil and changed my oil, emptied my gas tank and poured some 'heet', changed my 4 year old spark plug( when i put in the spark plug was i supposed to pour a certain type of fuel like 2 stroke mixed gas or regular gas?). things i havent checked is the pistons and carborators
 
check to make sure you are getting spark.if you are check to make sure you are getting gas.next compression.go from there.the back fire is from spark getting weak or timing jumped or hole in piston.
