...care of!? Listen, my horses pupil is white. I am making a appointment with a vet. BUT what do you think this could be. I DONT care if you think i am a bad owner. I dont need your bull sh*t. Just answer this if you think you know what it might be! THANKS to all you smart @sses who answered last time thinking you where helping saying im stupid, you made yourself look stupid :)

Ok now listen when i got him his eyes are clear and healthly looking. I KNOW becasue i have pictures of his eyes. 2 days later his one eye is fogged over and the other eye's pupil is white. The next day the white is almost completely gone from the pupil and the fog is gone from the other eye. THE next day the white pupil is back to the way it was the first time. OK only answer this if you think you might know what it is not IF your gonna say go get a vet, hes getting a appointment! SO dont answer if your going to just rant nonsense! thanks :P

He was a rescue kind of he was given to me and it was like he was dieing he was totaly under weight. He has gained lots of weight since then and looks amazing. :)

Cataracts are all I can think of... They're especially common in Appaloosa horses but, I've never heard of them coming and going like that.

You'll need a vet to answer this one. Maybe keep him in or put a fly mask on to protect his eyes from the sun?

Sounds like either cataracts, moon blindness, an auto-immune disease (because of the flares) or uveitis depending on the color. If you post photos I can tell you for sure. It would be amazing for our diagnoses if you can take pictures once the vet has stained his eye (if your vet does that). I have wasted 8 months online and divulged into equine ophthalmic books learning everything I can about horse's eyes because of a problem my mare was having with her eye. It sounds like you have the situation under control with getting the horse to the vet. I would put a fly mask on him (my mare wears one 24/7 now since her fiasco) and be sure to not put any medicines in him that could alter the condition. You want the vet to see it at its worst so they can treat accordingly. My mare has an auto-immune disorder in her eye, and my vet would never see it at its worst until 4 months after the initial visit. Can your horse still see? I would keep him either in a group that you know he fits in with or in a stall so that he doesn't hurt himself if he's going blind.

Be sure that you have insurance on the horse. The vet bills can get very high, especially if you need a specialist. I personally paid over $8,000 to save my mare's eye, and IMO every penny was worth it. Be prepared for your pocketbook to possibly spring a leak if the vet finds something bad. Hopefully it is something minor, however it sounds somewhat major and kinda weird to me.

Good job rescuing the horse, and you are obviously not stupid. Good luck at the vet, and try to post some pictures and maybe the vet's diagnosis.

i would guess conjunctivitis, if its not caught in time it can lead to the foggy look over the eye. if he was a rescue... it could be. i would put terramycin on it and see if that helps. but it usually appears with water eyes. hope i could help :)

Maybe he's getting into something that's irritating his eyes. Dust? Smoke? Chemical irritants? I don't know. Look around.

White usually indicates scarring or trauma of some kind. Is he hitting his eye on something? Does he seem to see OK?

Also - age causes eyes and hair to change colors. It could be completely normal for the iris part of his eyes to go white. (Cloudy is not normal though...)

Do let us know what it is - I'm kind of curious myself now.

Good luck with him.

Could be some kind of infection that has gone untreated by the precious owners?

I don't know, it's a little hard to diagnose without seeing a picture.

Does he have any 'gunk' in his eyes at all?
Do you have trees with low lying branches he could have scratched it on?
Are there any foreign bodies in his eyes?
Is it dusty in your paddock?
How old is he?

i wanna be nice ok :)
I am very glad you got a vet :) Your horse will say thank you, it was a good idea to ask us, just glad sad i was being mean cuz ive been in that stuff b4

Is there anyway you can tell me what your horse ended up having? My horse is doing the same thing.
