My HP Windows Vista laptops cd/dvd drive does not respond!?

I need some help, I just the SIMS3 GAME!!!!! and i was so happy, until I popped it in my dvd/cd drive! It didnt even read the disk! I heard it spin around but thats about it! I even put in music cds and movies in it and it wont read that either! my cd/dvd drive has ((RW DVD RW DL) (COMPACT DISC REWRITABLE) (DVD MULTI RECORDER) and (LIGHTSCRIBE)) What can be wrong with it? If someone can send me a link for a free upgrade for it that would be great! I just realy realy realy want to play sims and stuff! UGH!

hey forget about the game but see whether the DVD player is working or not.

If it is not functioning re-install the Operating System and then try to load the game.

If the dvd payer is working correctly it might be the DVD to cause problem to your pc.

As a precautionary method run the virus scan for the disk.
