My internet connection in windows vista is very very slow.?

I get a download speed of 13KB/sec in my laptop installed with Windows vista. But at that same time i connected the same modem to my desktop pc to download the same file. I achieved a download speed of 133KB/sec. Can anyone tell me a solution to my problem????

There are lot of factors that affects your download speed like Simultaneously if you run lot of software's,There may be a chance of virus attack in your laptop etc..So try to check everything and all.

1.Get a download accelerator
2.Turn off all unused apps while downloading
3.Don't upload information while you're downloading
