My internet connection is acting up!?

My internet connection is always messing up for the past week and today... I have looked around on this site about the problem, and I changed the Channel of the wireless network on my router. I have windows XP Pro. and almost everyday my wireless connection drops... It's not doing it now cause I changed the channel, but now it's going slow and firefox is saying server cannot be found or server is taking to long to respond.
There are 3 computers and 1 laptop which does not use the internet too much... The 2 computers are wired, and mine (1 PC) is wireless... I have reset the router and looked into the settings, but same problems occurs. My internet radio station goes unstable, and when I connect to my web server through FTP, it disconnects.

Slow internet happens for various reasons. You might have poor hardware connecting your machine to the wall. Maybe your modem-router is not configured correctly.Depends- when is it exactly slow? is it while surfing the internet, or when running programs? either way, you can make it go faster. If your internet is slow, you should scan your computer for viruses and spyware using suitable programs(for example- avast anti virus or spybot). If you still experience the same problem I would advise you to delete the computer after backing it up, and then installing a new copy of Windows. if your problem is with programs running slowly- I can advise you to FOLLOW THESE STEPS
1 .Switch to a different browser
2.Remove unwanted add-ons, extensions, and plugins
3.Close unused tabs
4.Allow (some) cookies and caching and Do a speed test here scanmyspeed.com It will sounds good than before..
