My iPad isn't streaming HD YouTube videos?

I have a 16GB WiFi+3G iPad a couple days old. I have tried to watch my favorite music video on youtube and my iPad said "This video format does not currently support iPad". I know that the video is in HD because I have watched it on my computer before. The problem is that I thought iPad could stream HD videos from YouTube? I know its not just the video because I have tried watching similar videos from the same user; The Gorillaz. Anyway, could someone explain what Apple meant when they said in their videos that I can see HD videos from YouTube? -__- thanks
When I mean YouTube I meant the YouTube app preloaded on my iPad.
 
Dont use the preloaded app. Its pretty crap compared to just going online onto youtube
