My iphone 4 stopped responding. I connected it to itunes and it said it was in restore mode or something like that and that I had to restore it. I pressed the restore button and it said it was extracting the software. Then it said it was restoring the phone, but then a window pops up saying it coundn't restore it and error code 1611 was displayed. My computer is running windows vista if that matters. I didn't have a problem syncing it when I first got it. Any suggestions?
 
Try restoring on a computer running XP. I had the same problem before. I am a current iPhone user for a few years now and I operate Vista Ultimate.
 
Are you using iTunes 9.2 or higher? If not try restoring with the latest iTunes version (at least 9.2)
