My iPhone 4 won't download?

I was downloading an app that is 1 GB it sai my iPhone was full. I went to settings then usage and I says I have 2.5 GB. I have been owning my iPhone4 for almost two years.

I tried deleting music, pictures, apps, and restarting my iPhone. Nothing helps. Please help me!!! Thankyou so much!!
 
This has happened to me before where an app is one amount but turns out it needs more than 2-3x the apps download amount

The iPhone needs 2 to 3 times the size of the app being installed during the installation process. That extra space is freed after the installation is complete. So you need to delete some content to complete the install. You can add it back later.
