Umm yeah it is. Firstly, if you go onto your Itunes library, with your nano plugged in and click on your nano, you can choose the option to 'manually manage songs and video's' etc. Ths means that your existing library won't just be added to your nano. Also, if you get realplayer, you can copy all the songs from your ipod, and keep them in realplayer library, to be able to redownload them into itunes in order to put them onto your iphone. Sorry if that's a little confusing, i couldn't think of another way to say it :S
