My jaw pops every time I open my mouth? i have braces?

I have braces and have had them for about a year or so. For about 3 months every time i open my mouth my jaw pops on the left side. Sometimes it pops hard and sometime it barely pops. Im 14 years old if that helps. Do you know what could be wrong?
 
Your jaw is adjusting to your new biting position. The popping noise is actually the cushion of cartilage that sits between your jawbone and your skull. Hopefully your jaw will change shape alittle and it will stop happening. In any case I would just mention it to your orthodontist.
 
I have had that for about 4 months.

It has almost completely fixed itself now.

Sometimes my jaw will lock when I yawn.
