He is only about 4.5 months old, isn't it too early for him to do this? My 1 year old female started bringing them in around 10 months. Once, she brought in a monarch butterfly and they ate it together! I hate watching this and the lizard's are yuck. Do you experience this with your cats?

It just means your kitten has a fierce predator instinct and will be a good hunter. Be careful of the lizard eating, My Vet says some carry liver flukes that can infect your cat. be sure to keep your kitty on Revolution, and have his stool checked regularly.

This is normal. Cats have natural instincts to catch small animals and bring them to their masters as gifts. Most commonly, they are reptiles or bugs. My sister used to have a cat that would kill bugs in the house. This is why cats were so useful in ancient history with the Egyptians. The Egyptians would grow grain to make bread, but all the mice would always destroy the grain. Cats would catch and kill mice, which is one of the reasons Egyptians worshiped them.
Cats are more likely to do this if you let them outside. If they're indoor cats, they'd really be useful if there's any bugs are mice in the house.
