my kitten is making strange noises?

my new kitten who is at least 3 months old keeps making these strange noises like he is angry and is growling but he doesnt appear to be angry or aggitated at anything. hes not hissing its like he is really growling. but i dont know if i should be concerned about it. any ideas?
