My Male Shih Tzu inhales food?

Okay so when I feed my Shih Tzu, he inhales his food. and within 1 Minute its gone. will he grow out of this or is this trainable to eat his food slower and actually chew it. I only ask because it has recently become a problem because he has started puking it up.
