My 6 Year old mare that I had bought around 3 months ago is so thin, We bought her from a yard that took in X Racehorses, She was very thin when we bought her but we assumed that we could fatten her and get her back to good health.
She has always shown signs of being ill, we had the vet out 3 or 4 times for suspected strangles and luckily she was okay. We just can't understand why she is so thin... We feed them hay in the morning, mix mid afternoon and hay in the evening.
What could this be?
