MY MEMORY CARD FOR MY CELL PHONE ISNT WORKING.....I NEEEEEEED HELLLLPPP, SERIOUSLY?

I have a verizon LG phone...and i have a memory card. I have the little usb thing you stick into the computer and my memory card has been in my phone the whole time, i took it out once to use it (bc i took pictures) and when i would put the little card in the usb and stick in the computer, my photos would come up. I havent used it since. and it has just been sitting there on my dresser, not abused, wet or dust. and i just took some new pictures with the memory card, put it in the usb, put in the computer and it makes the "ding" noise...but nothing comes up...its not in my computer, pictures documents....NOTHING. what is going on..this card is a month old.
