...reversing.? Forward Drive is OK. But reverse will have no power if u need gas. If i just engage reverse without gas, the machine will move very slowly. If i try accelerate, it will act as if on idle but no power on the wheels. So i cannot park on a slight downhill, because i will need power which is not there. Can anyone help? Transmission fluid was checked, OK. A mechanic said he will have to dismount/remove the automatic gearbox and open it out, check the transmission parts especially the reverse clutches or something. I need to be sure this is the problem to be addressed because it is a bit costly, $500. Is there a cheaper alternative before i engage in the gearbox pull out? Thank you.
PS: I have been riding this Star for 3 years without material problems. Except it starts hard from a cool engine.. like 5 ignition starts before she gets to work.
