Okay so I'm 13 years old and I'm a girl. I know this is probably regular for kids my age, but my mom and I are always fighting. She finds a way to blw everything up way bigger than it really is, and she thinks I'm giving her attitude with everything I say. And she's always on my back about doing my homework, she just doesn't let me live. She's always bugging me about school even though I do fine. I've been getting straight A's my whole life, I have never made one B in my life. I've placed in state in many academic contests, to put it short, I don't need her bugging me about school! I've always taken it seriously it's not like I'm failing all of my classes! Today I was watching tv and she told me to practice piano after this show was done. So I said ok and kept watching, and I was about to stop the tv when she started yelling at me about how I watch too much tv, blah blah. I'm not even allowed to watch one minute of it during school days so what's wrong with watching a little extra on the weekends? And she pushes me so much for my age it's so annoying. I just want to punch her sometimes. And then if I hit my pillow once she leaves, she comes back and makes it a big deal. She gets mad whenever I try to get rid of my stress, and I feel like exploding.
This is probably way too long so I'll stop my rant now. I just need advice on how to mend our relationship. We used to be really close but about a year ago we fell apart. If this makes a difference, I have a special Ed brother...
