My mom caught my boyfriend in our house, hiding...?

i called my boyfriend to my house , he came and my mom said ill be home at 3, while we were doing something, my mom came around 2 and my boyfriend hid in the other room, i was confused and my mom saw something was wrong and knew that he was in the house, so he searched and found him, he apologized to my mom and my mom said this is not something to apologize... me and mom havent spoken a word yet, help guys, i dont want things to be this way !!!
