My mom is complaining bout her period what actually goes on during a girls period?

Known as PMS or Premenstrual Syndrome, women often experience cramping, mood swings, changes in their skin, and bloating. Personally, I don't see why so many women complain so much about their period. It's just a once-monthly period of time where they do bleed from their lady parts. However, this is normally easily taken care of with the use of tampons. I am a woman, and I see nothing wrong with a period. I always wonder why so many women complain about them.

Agreeing with jessica about symptoms i'd like to add fatigue and nasea to the list as they arevery common as well. I frankly disagree with jessica about it not being somethign to complain about. These symptoms can be extremely painful depending on the individual (I know a few that have had to leave work/school) and just plain disruptive to daily routines. the fatigue in particular gets to e as i feel a total lack of motivation and just want to sleep the days away. Also contrary to popular disbelief it is not fun being super crabby and snappy about stupid things; being irritated over nothing is annoying! lol

Another thing to mention is the fact that it is plain uncomfrtable to bleed from there; it feels dirty to some girls even and makes some uncomfortable being in public for fear of someone knowing. Also the frequent trips to the restroom to change tampons or pads is an annoyance not to mention you have to rememeber to bring them with you.

That is not to say i don't think some girls don't complain a bit too much but just be careful and think about the potential pain she is going through before you say "stop complaining about it". I hope that helps and allows you to understand a bit more.. feel free to google away if you want to know more.
