My neighbours are listening to what we are saying at home and spreading gossip?

We have a semi detached house and my neighbours are really quiet. However they listen to what we are doing and saying and spread gossip about us. I can speak other languages and the other week the neighbour especially the lady started saying hello to me abit differently and then when i was in the car she pulled her blinds across in an aggressive way. I dont know whether this was because I have started speaking in different language but I think it is from the expression I get. I like to get on with my life as best I can but im a secretive person and I like keeping things at home. However I have heard thier T.V when it seams to be on a low volume. Therefore they must be able to here what we are saying. We never listen to thier converstaions and never will. We are not nossy and respect others and thier privacy. What can I actually do about this or is thier nothing I really can do and just get on with life? Sound proof walls etc?
 
Actually, you sound a bit paranoid.
IF you are not doing anything illegal, who cares what kind of 'gossip' they might be spreading?
She said hello to you in a different way??
She closed her blinds aggressively?
How do you know the blinds are not working correctly and simply fell?
You also are concerned about an 'expression" you get and you think this is why she closed her blinds?
They did nothing wrong so there is nothing you can do about someones closing thier blinds in a certain way or saying hello differently.
You never mentioned what kind of gossip.

Get on with your life, be polite when you meet them outside and ignore anything else.
Living in apartments and other close quarters housing decrees that you ignore anything you hear from the neighbors and mind your own business.
I certainly wouldn't worry about it.
 
just carry on speaking in a different language. do you really care if you get the odd dirty look?
 
you sound paranoid i would not worry about it... it sounds like you might have something to hide... work on yourself and ignore others. if your not doing anything wrong then there would be no gossip to spread
