My ps3 blu-ray wont play sound in digital...any ideas?

So it works in 3/2.1 (dolby digital) when i play regular dvd's and games. but when i play a blu-ray it keeps coming up in pro logic rather than digital. i feel like i have double checked all my settings... perhaps i am missing something. and its NOT a connection issue and its NOT the amp/reciever. any ideas

depends on what you have the ps3 connected to for sound! it will not play thru your TV! Must be connected to a HD surround sound receiver, thru a optical cable. Blu-ray is a technology that is beyond what your tv can handle. If you do have it connected properly, then you must select the input that you want to be digital, like DVD or VIdeo or whatever the ps3 is plugged into.
