My roommates laptops are not connecting to our internet, why?

I know I'm really dumb when it comes to this, but only my computer is getting internet. We just moved into a new place and the router and modem are in my room connected to my desktop. My roommates laptops show that they are getting a signal from the router, but get nothing when they open up a browser. Need help.
