My Samsung Eternity Keeps On Deleting Contacts?Help?

So I got my Samsung Eternity 2 days ago, the phone is downright retarded. When the AT&T guy "synced" all my contacts from my old phone to my Samsung only 4 contacts saved, and now everytime I save a contact it disspears. When I try to find it, i cant, so I add it again and when i'm going to save it, it says its all ready in use. Help?
