My seat wont move forward or back, VW golf Mk4 GT TDI?

There doesn't appear to be anything broken and it feels like the handle doesn't come all the up to allow the seat to move.....please help.

There's not really a lot we can do from here it would need to be looked at.
Something could be stuck in the runners or the mechanism could be broken, really don't know till I see it.
Give it a good wiggle while pulling the handle up, may free something
