My sister smoked from a straw, can that harm her?

My younger sister told me she smoked through a plastic straw and I'm worried,can someone help?
Could the plastic have gone to here lungs or brain? please explain what could have happend. She thought she could smoke through the straw but she said it just melted at the end while she was taking a hit. PLEASE ANSWER ITS SO IMPORTANT!! I CANT TELL MY MOM
