My sisters nintendo ds r4 chip isn't working anymore.?

She said that one of her friends downloaded something for it and now all it comes up with is ?MENU in the top screen. Any answers?
I've just plugged into my computer with the card reader thing and when it comes up on screen there is nothing on the file, but when I go into properties it says that all the memory has been used but I cannot find any files on it.

So if the case is that all the games have been deleted is there a way to restore the origional settings and get all the games back?
 
maybe she messed up the settings, try to get the original settings back, if its not that backup ur info on ur chip and and reformat the microsd card then put the info on it and play
