aloud.Pleas read what happend first? Okay so im 13, and i live with my little sis whose 10, my mom, and my stepdad. We recently moved in with my stepdad about 3 months ago. My stepdad's been taking advantage of the whole father thing, and not too long ago i think he went too far.

So my mom and my sis have left to go get groceries and stuff, so its was just me and my stepdad. Well we had gotten into an argument over the remote for the tv being lost. I repeatedly told him i hadn't moved it, and he kept telling me i did and that i needed to go find it. Well i looked, but i couldnt find it, so he got really mad and grabbed my arm, and literally through me on the ground. I blanked out for like 2 seconds and he was holding me down, then he started yelling at me about not looking hard enough, because he found it like in the little creasing thing of the couch. I yelled back that it wasnt that obvious and then i told him to get off of me or i would tell my mom, and he just slapped me across the face and told me that he was my father now and that he had the right to discipline me and if i told my mom then she would agree with him. Then he let me go and i went to my room, and now im on here.

So the confusing part is that hes been a police officer for i think 12 years, and he still is. But i still don't think he was aloud to do that. Is he aloud to do this or is only my biological father aloud to do that? Would you tell your mom about it, and if so how would you bring it up? Even if he is a cop, can he still get into trouble for this?

PS: He did leave a bruise on my arm from where he was holding me down, and the part of my face that he slapped is turning red.

I definately think you should tell your mum!
She wont agree with him over you, and if you explain how much it upset you, then she will most likely understand.
However if she doesn't go to a police station and explain?
or to your friends house and talk to their mum?
hope your ok! Something like this just happened with my mum too :|

Sounds like abuse of authority to me. Tell your mom and anyone else who will listen before it goes too far. "Dads" don't do shit like that.
