My story I writing, How to make this happen?

In my story called "Trapped in time" it's about this girl who get's taken to old days to the Indian tribe (Like Indian as in I don't know Pocahontas kind of Indian) And I am trying to figure out a way for the girl to get transported to the olden days. Do you have any ideas? Thanks
 
Do your research first...it's Native Americans! Not Indians! Also, take a look at all the other stories where the main character goes back in time. Examine their actions and break it down. What is her main goal? That could also affect how you think she got back in time.
