...can't open up Internet Explorer. Why? I installed my USB Wireless Addapter and it says it's connected and has good signal but I still can't open up Internet Explorer.

I plugged an ethernet cable straight into my computer from the wireless router and it worked fine.

I don't understand why it's saying it's connected and has good signal strength yet doesn't "Connect" to the net.

PLEASE HELP!

Please post your router/adapter brands. Some don't work with one another.

you probably have a weak phone line,that's just barely working with the cable,it could be your too far from the exchange,I have the same problem.
My router should show up green lights when fully connected,but go's to orange once your on the net.you could approach your telephone company to boost the signal down the line
