I have this http://www.amazon.com/RCA-ANT1250-Amplified-indoor-Antenna/dp/B000063SNE plugged in on the main floor and it picks up the digital channels fairly well. I wanted an even better picture so I installed a new rooftop antenna (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103085) where an old antenna was mounted. It's pointed in the right direction and hooked up correctly. It picks up the analog signal fairly well, but doesn't get the digital channels. I'm 20 miles from where they are broadcast from.
I'm in a slight gully, so there is a hill about a half mile from me in the direction of the broadcast. I understand that this could be disrupting my digital signal, but if the plugged in antenna on the main floor can pick them up, why can't my rooftop antenna, which should have a better angle on top of the second floor, get them? Please help!
