My video game lags on my LCD t.v?

I have a LG LCD t.v 42", 120 hz. When I play games on it, it would lag. ex. I would play my nintendo wii, and my cursor is a bit slow.

Is there some sort of setting I should set for the t.v/ If so, can anybody tell me how to set it?
