My 2000 S40 just started running at a much louder volume than usual the past few days. It's coming from the engine, so I don't think it's a muffler problem. It's not an unusual sound, just my engine, but ridiculously loud. It's much more noticeable when accelerating. What could be up with it? I checked the oil, I'm fine on that. Otherwise, I'm stumped.
