Nail grinders?

So I think I have finnnnally chosen what dog I want for my third, an Italian Greyhound. Before I email the adoption rep, I am researching how much all the supplies will be so I can get ready (which I will be addressing in a separate question). Husband walked in on me looking at nail grinders and asked why I was bothering when I got him a Dremel for Christmas. I opened my mouth to tell him and...nothing came out.
Is there a difference, or would a Dremel do the same job?
