Need a new mountain bike?

I need a new mountain bike to go mountain biking and i don't mean on paths or tracks, i take my Mountain bikes off tracks and into the rough so it needs to be strong and well built or should i just buy all the gear and make one myself rather than retail bikes?
IT has to have strong frame, strong wheels, good suspension all of it, i have a budget about £800 to £1,000.

Basically i need to know the best place to buy them or should i take it on my self?
 
In 2008, i got a "Specialized Rockhopper". - It's a great Starter to Mid-level rider bike. Only thing i don't like about it is the fact that it is not a full suspension bike. The bike cost me around $650 UDS.

Trek is also a great bike to go with.
