Need advice on changing brake fluid on my truck and suv.?

I want to change the brake fluid on my 1998 Silverado with a 5.7l and my 1999 Toyota 4Runner with a 3.4l in it. I have been doing some reading and saw that changing the brake fluid on a vehicle equipped with ABS is more difficult that a vehicle with out ABS. With that in mind, on both my cars after i clean the M.C., suck out the old fluid and put the new fluid in can i just change the fluid like one would normally change it out? Have someone in the car push on the brake as i open the bleeder valve and let if flow until the new fluid comes out? Or there some special way it needs to be done?
