Need career advise for my future (computers)?

Am currently in 6th form taking maths, computing and physics...

I really can't stand any of the subjects except computing... I just don't understand how the physics will help me, and the maths is really really boring (don't even grasp statistics)...

I'm 16 and have completed the A+ and N+ computer courses, but am more interested in programming... We are currently learning to program in the python language at school, and I find it to be extremely easy....

It really is the only subject I'm interested in, and if it wasn't for the health and safety laws, I'd far rather prefer to be working with computers instead of in a supermarket part-time...

It really feels uncomfortable not knowing what you're going to do with the rest of your life... It really feels like I'm going no where :(

I'm really just looking to find out:
1. What subjects are compulsory for admission into a programming course at university
2. Is there anything I can be studying alongside my A-levels to better my chances at finding a job in the computer programming world
3. Is there any point at looking into a field like this (is there a need for programmers)

Thanks in advance
