Uplander? On the family 2006 Chevy Uplander minivan, the driver's side turn signal/parking light/DRL bulb is burned out. We ordered a new one, bulb ACDelco #3157NAK, as per the owner's manual. According to what I've been able to dig up online(http://www.carcarekiosk.com/video/2008_Chevrolet_Uplander_LS_3.9L_V6/lights/daylight_running), the replacement process for this specific car's bulb is relatively straightforward: undo the attaching L-bar and bolt for the driver's side headlight assembly, pull headlight assembly out carefully and disconnect the wire (and then putting it aside), reach down into the resulting gap to the wiring assembly for the DRL, pull *that* out and replace the bulb. Simple, huh?
WRONG.
Somehow, I have no luck removing the headlight assembly. I remove the bolt and the L-bar, and even the rivets at the top of the plastic grille-bumper front, and I can wrench out one half of the housing with ease. However, the other half (the side toward the driver's side-view mirror) is firmly stuck and cannot be removed, and I am not sure if perhaps there really *is* another attachment for the housing that needs to also be undone for the headlight housing to come out, or maybe it really is that you need to pull the headlight out with a LOT of force? (The "alternate-fastener" theory would contradict what is shown in the video here: http://www.carcarekiosk.com/video/2008_Chevrolet_Uplander_LS_3.9L_V6/lights/daylight_running and click 3. Remove Bulb) This is a 2006 Chevrolet Uplander LS with the short wheel-base, if that info is of any use.
