need help car audio install in oxnard?

anyone in the oxnard area able to help me complete my installation in my suv. more specifically i need help creating a ground point for my amp. i dont have the tools and im not sure where and how to make a ground point. i went to the audio shop but they want to charge from $50 to $80 that's kinda steep in times of recession... anyways i appreciate any help. heck i spring for beers or something. thanks

before you go drilling holes anywhere in your suv like the previous person suggested, i would look for a bolt where you can attach the wire to. i usually use a bolt that holds the seat in, or that holds the seat belt in. just anywhere that is metal will work as a ground point.

what you want to do
1.remove bolt
2. grab peice of 60grit sand paper
3. sand down to bare metal
4. place end of wire under the bolt as you tighten it down
5. connect ground wire to amp
6. happy pounding

also note: try to keep your ground wire shorter then 18inches other wise you may be a victim to engine noise playing threw your speakers.
