We recently got a new internet service provider. We have been able to connect our two laptops to it but our 5 year old desktop won't connect even with it directly connected to the modem. we called the service specialists for the provider and they made us open a whole bunch of folders, but we couldn't get them open so they told us our computer was shot. How can I fix this? Was it caused by age or possibly a virus? please help! I am in desperate need. Also would it be worth it to take it to a professional to try to fix it? Or would it be better just to scrap it and purchase a new one?
