Need Help(Internet related)?

My internet explorer works fine but installed applications will not work(ex AIM,FullTiltPoker,PokerStars,FlyFF- pretty much nothing installed will work)
I have been messing with my ip(the cmd/ipconfig one, apparently it does not change my REAL ip(the one you see when you visit whatismyip.com)
I dont know what is going on please anyone help(i also downloaded some proxy's to try to bypass a ban on a game and Tor)
**i deleted the proxys and everything

First, try reinstalling the Internet Explorer. If that does not solve your issue, try reinstalling, with the repair option, Windows. If all goes well, your Network connections should be refreshed, and up and running. Glitch in my answer? I don't know what OS you're using. I am not familiar w/ Vista or Linux distros, using WinXP Pro.
 
Sometimes its your internet security like norton. Sometimes won't allow things like to access the internet. Just go into norton and set it to learn or manually allow stuff.
 
disable the add-ons on internet explorer or uninstall them

to uninstall: go to start control panel and click programs and features and remove any add ons there

to disable add-ons on internet explorer do the following:
tools
internet options
programs tab
manage add ons
and disable any add-ons you installed just before the internet stopped working

oh and i recommend a better browser like firefox or safari

There is a similar ip search site called IP-Details.com to check our External ip address. Here it display IP address, ISP, Location, Country and so on,...
