Need help updating the iOS firmware on my iPhone and iPad?

Umm, my Internet is really slow, and when ever I try to update the firmware, iTunes just says "error, connection timed out". Is there any way i can just continue the download or is there some kind of workaround? I still don't have gamecenter because of this and I'm getting frustrated... Thanks |]
 
Connection timing out either means that your connection is horrid, or something (usually on the download server's end) messed up or went down for maintenance.
