Need help with car stereo/audio?

I have a 1994 Honda Accord. The other day I had to remove my sound system ( Two 12'' speakers & an amplifier ) to make room for some cargo which would only fit in the trunk if I removed the speakers. The other day I tried reconnecting the wires which were hooked up to the amp. I don't know all too much about wiring, so I was trying different combinations until I could hear sound from the speakers. In all the attempts to do this myself, somehow 2 wires came into contact and sparked, soon after my car stereo completely turned off and now I have no sound at all, the radio won't turn on at all :/

Could I had somehow short circuited the stereo? Or is it just a fuse that I might of blown out? I'm not too worried about re-installing the extra speakers now I just want to be able to hear music in my car again. Anyone have any advice they can give me to help me solve this problem? :/

first of all you never play with any wiring without pulling the fuses from the amplifier until your done.there is a good chance you blew the two channels in the amplifier.another thing is there is suppose to be a big fuse about a foot off the pos. battery post under the hood.that could be blown.or the cd player itself could have been cooked.do your self a favor who ever put this system together should be the one to fix it because i know for a fact that you did not install it yourself or you would no better than to do what you did so take it back to the person who installed it.or a car audio installer and have them fix the problem, because without looking at it,it could be anything.
