Need ideas to help 3 year old cope while we are on vacation?

My husband and I are planning a trip this summer for 5days. Our daughter will be with my mom and sister. I would like to do something special for her each day so she can count down the days, sort of like an advent calendar or something, I don't know

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions, maybe something you have done when you went away
 
dont worry about it. Its your vacation. Your spoiled 3 year old will just have to cope. Hopefully your mom and sister don't back hand the brat too hard
 
I'd keep it simple, like write a letter to her one for each day. If you have an idea of what you'll be doing each day you can mention that too. I'm sure she'll be fine and it's mom and dad who will be suffering more. :)

Can you call once a day? That will help too. Or email if you have access - set up an email account for her so you can drop her a short message every day and really let her know what you guys are up to (and hopefully your mom and sis can help write back)
