Chapter 1
"A murder!?" I continued asking the same question over and over. I guess I haven't actually ever got used
to this word. Now that kept me wondering, who would ever kill somebody in a town as friendly like ours. I was
born in 1985, in Alabama. Alabama consisted of 2 very differant regions, for there was the town that I lived
and gotten used to since World War I type of old) houses. Though I always considered them kind of differant like
differant Mansions or something.
With a sigh, the officer called out for a man to investigate my house. Since actually no murders were ever
commited in our town, the local police department called out a search party to investigate every house in sight
for any suspision. I lived alone (sadly), I was a 25 year old single woman. I never actually much considered my
age till now. "You're not getting any younger Sandra" I told myself in a low voice as I closed the door shut.
The man searched every single inch of the house, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen...As I sat with the officer, answering some oddly
questions like " Were you working late last night Miss?" , I wondered why did that question
had anything to do with the murder, so I couldn't help to ask. " The man that was
killed last night was named Kevin McLife" I stopped breathing, as he continued without hesitation. I started
to wonder if he rehearsed his speech.."When I searched the crime scene last night, your co-workers told me
intresting stuff about Kevin, involving you. Miss Ravin, was Kevin McLife ever intrested in you?" Oh God, I
knew what was happening, previously Kevin asked me out many times, and I always turned him down until he
attacked me and tried...to rape me. Luckily I was saved by my close friend Emily."Yes"
I answered with a little shake in my voice. "Im sorry, I heard what he tried to do, but you should've reported the
the assualt. Now, it's possible that you could be the prime suspect. I can't think of anybody else, Sandra.We
are trying to fine any suspicious contacts of his, but nothing.."
I started to breathe heavily, I couldn't even breathe! I started to think of my brother Jake, how would he even
react if he heard the story, possibly that his little sister was going to get locked up after getting nearly
raped by the same guy that was dead now.
