Need to heat my garage to paint my truck?

(I am new to painting) I want to paint my truck in my garage but it's starting to get cold out and I'm wondering what kind of heat can I use to heat my garage and not mess up my paint job. (kerosene heater, propane, electric).

You can't paint around an open flame you'll get an explosion whatever you use to heat your garage has to be a fireproof source of heat.

Use any way you want, but just don't allow any open flames while you paint. Allow fumes to vent before heating again.

How cold is it? You can adjust reducer (use a slow reducer) down to 40 degrees or so. If you can schedule the job during the hotter part of the day it would be better. You will want to heat garage overnight to avoid condensation forming on your new paint also.

1) Aerosol paints and their fumes are highly combustible. Using them around a heat source that uses an open flame or could spark is generally a bad idea unless you have a death wish.

2) Painting in an enclosed area like a closed up garage is also not too smart. Wait for warmer weather so you can ventilate properly.
