...system? Please help, I'm new to computers. I'm wondering what will happen if I install my hard drive in my laptop.

What screen is going to show up? Will I have to re-install my operating system also?
 
If you mean.. installing your hard drive from your desk-top to your laptop, I would just check for hard ware compatibility issues. Other than that you should be fine. If it will be an additional hard drive. Make sure you place proper jumper settings, the primary drive in which you wish to boot from should be set to "Master" and the other set to "Slave". You will have to adjust these setting in your computers CMOS. Its really not as complicated as it sounds. Give it a go. Make sure you document any changes you make.
