Nextel I870 Won't Read Mini Sd Card?

I got got a nextel i870 and i got a 4gb sandisk mobile ultra, micro, sd, HC card that is everything it says on the card but my phone will not like pick it up when i put it in... it reads the little 64mb card with no probs but not this new one... i try 2 format the card under settings but i can't because the card does not show up can someone tell me why this is doing this? is there like something wrong with this new card?
