According to: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16458… , individuals with the 24 hour patch experienced more rem sleep - compared to individuals on a 16 hr patch.
I am suffering from narcolepsy, do not dream often (* dreams are proportional to REM sleep *), and have a very tough time waking up in the morning - and often need 12 hours of sleep to feel normal.
So, I am wondering if nicotine patches could possibly help me feel more rested by allowing me to enter REM for a longer period of time, - thus reducing my hours of sleep from 13 to 7-8.
What are your thoughts, educated answers will receive 5 stars.
