Nintendo DS internet hookups?

So let's be honest. Nintendo needs to get with the times. WEP security is long outdated and I'm not going to compromise my wireless security to play a gameboy game online. My question is this: is there any way to hook up the DS to a Wii to gain internet access?
 
I believe so, yes.

On a couple games I have, they have Wii message settings. I'm not sure how to do it, however, my Wii wont work.

I just wanna connect my DS to a hotspot =(
