Alright, My uncles VCR went on the fritz today. It kinda just burnt out or something, My mom went and found a dvd/vcr combo. Upon setting it up we found out it doesn't have the coaxial connection on the back. Hes got Comcast, but he doesn't have a set top box, its just a cable coming from the outside. So the only way now he can watch TV is if the coaxial is plugged directly into the TV. How can he record a movie thats on TV? I talked to people at best buy and the coaxiel thing is now considered Obsolete and they aren't on any of the cheap model VCR DVD players. Maybe one for like $300 would have it but thats a little too much money. I thought getting a convertor box would at least get me the signal from the outside cable connection but when I go to scan I get a No Signal after scanning. its an Apex model. I take it comcast is already sending a analog signal and thats why the apex isn't picking it up? Any ideas on what to do.

i take it the tv has no audio/video outputs. hit the pawn shops for a used vcr that has the coax input and audio/video outputs. just don't use the vcr part to record with. they are pretty cheap any more.
